Posted by on April 22, 2017 at 1:18amWelcome to The TES Character Build Archives! On this page all of the sites Elder Scrolls character builds can be navigated to quickly through our ever expanding tag network. Builds found here are categorized by archetype and play-style so you can refine your search and find the perfect Skyrim character.Adding a tag is as simple as entering the name of the tag itself in the field at the very bottom of the page and hitting enter. No quotation marks are needed. Adding tags is an excellent way to make it easy for others to find your build.
Use as many tags as you wish, within reason, that adequately describe your build. To help you along we've included a list of commonly used tags below. Each play style tag comes with a brief description. My class proposal is:Adventurer: Generalists, even-ish mix of all types of skillsAgent: Stealth focus with some magicAssassin: Stealth focus with some combatBattlemage: Magic focus with some combatMage: Pure magic characterNightblade: Magic focus with some stealthScout: Combat focus with some stealthSpellsword: Combat focus with some magicThief: Pure stealth characterWarrior: Pure combat characterA lot of classes overlap; the Sorcerer is basically just a Battlemage, while the Crusader is basically just a Spellsword. I go with Adventurer for generalists because despite not being a true TES class, Adventurer is the default name for a custom class in Oblivion.

It distributes steel crossbows to NPCs, and changes the upgrade process for enhanced crossbows and explosive bolts, so you can craft them once you have completed the Ancient Knowledge quest.I use SkyRe, and I have been finishing my compatibility Merge Patches. NPO Crossbows is actually pretty good as it is with SkyRe. You can install it as is, and everything should work just fine. The default BOSS load order is fine, it just needs to load after SkyReMain.I may tweak a few Leveled List items, but I will know for sure once I get to that part of my patching.
It isn't absolutely necessary, because SkyRe already distributes steel crossbows to some higher end NPCs. I'll let you know when I decide to do, when I finish. Just a quick update, I decided to not bother with using NPO Crossbows in SkyRe. It works fine when installed, but the stats are all off.
You can reprocc all the crossbows to mesh them in, but the annoyance I ran into is that SkyRe also adds new crossbow upgrades, which are pretty powerful. As I was mapping out the vanilla damage and critical values for the NPO Crossbows so I could remap new stats to them, I realized the damage progressions for the new crossbow types were at odds with the SkyRe upgrades for the Steel and Dwarven crossbows. It was just too much of a nuisance for me, so I decided to drop the whole thing.

SkyRe already distributes crossbows to higher-level NPCs, and the Arbalest, Lightweight, and Silenced crossbow upgrades are quite effective. It would be cool to have different crossbow materials, but I'm not just in the mood to try to come up with a solution.
